🎉 Congrats to @reedhewitt crowned Funniest Comedian in Windsor last night! The surprise is out of the bag… catch him tonight at the Festival Finale at the @capitoltheatrewindsor before he flies off to Austin, Texas.

🔥 Huge thanks to last year’s champ @darrickervinii for headlining and absolutely crushing.

🙏 Big love to @wukongfightclub and @downtownwindsor for sponsoring and keeping this scene strong.

🎟️ The grand finale is TONIGHT. Tickets are flying but you can still grab some online with code DOWNTOWN — or at the door.

TL;DR: What a wild weekend. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.
•
•
•
•
I’ve loved standup comedy my whole life. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a standup comedian. I wrote my first joke when I was 12 — it was terrible, but hey, it had structure (so technically, I peaked early).
This past Saturday, I won Windsor’s Funniest Comedian and the very next night got to perform at the Capitol Theatre for 400 people. It still feels surreal — like I accidentally stepped into the life I’ve been daydreaming about since the 8th grade:

Huge Shoutouts:
@laurenpatiakas — my lovely girlfriend, MVP of putting up with my pre-show pacing and post-show rambling
@paulmontanier & @iamzeek519 — the masterminds behind Brewing for Comedy and @windsorcomedyclub , for putting this on and always giving me advice when I need it (and sometimes when I don’t)
@wukongfightclub — for literally flying me to Austin, Texas!!!
And all the other comedians I’ve shared mics with this year — too many to tag, but y’all know who you are. Thanks for letting me hang out, roast myself, and try to get a little better every set. by @reedhhewitt

A huge congratulations to Reed Hewitt for taking home the win at Windsor Laughs: Rose City Roast Battle last night! 🏆🎤

Big shoutout to our amazing judges Curtis Coleman, Tori Roovers, and Tony Laramie for bringing their expertise (and savage critiques), and to our host Tim Reaburn for keeping the night rolling!

A huge THANK YOU to The Cherry Lounge for having us, all the incredible comics who stepped up to roast, and to our stand-up performances from Chris Gerassimou & Gee Gethiga from Toronto!

Windsor, you brought the heat last night! 🔥🔥 See you at the next one! #WindsorLaughs #RoastBattle #Comedy #StandUp by @reedhhewitt
