$Do you agree? 1. Most importantly, sample selection is everything, choosing samples which are compatible with eachother is crucial (kick, snares, hats etc..) 2. Sidechaining - ducking the bass when the kick hits is often crucial to avoid a muddy mix and letting the transient punch through. 3. Referencing - A/B your drum bus against a similar track you like at matched volume to check if you’re actually punchier or just louder. by @reefracted_$
