Maybe not the biggest but the fattest I’ve seen the fish this year. Killer morning on @ruthlesstackle shads until I ran out then @algagslures got the rest.

Two of the more memorable fish this season, maybe not the biggest but the ones I worked the hardest for. The last few days it seems like the tides have been against me, only moving the right way when I can’t fish but I’ve still managed to pick at some. My time will come soon enough.

Raritan Bay Fishing Report @reel.chase

Jersey action heating up with a steady bite from slack tide into the start of the outgoing. Fish were keyed in and feeding aggressively, with chartreuse getting the better response while there was still light, then switching over to white as the sun dropped. Even had one blow up on a spook, showing some solid topwater activity mixed in. Good conditions overall and a consistent pick throughout the tide window.

Quality striped bass coming from the Raritan with fish holding in predictable zones and responding well to a simple approach—just matching the light conditions and staying on moving water.
