Mind if I make yall cry with me? Just real quick! 🥲 As much as it is a blessing to see my Juicy & L.O. age, it’s equally just as nerve wrecking! We spend a lot of time running through the motions to be everything they need us to be, I think it’s fair to say sometimes we forget to be daughter and granddaughter. So excuse the messy bathroom, pajamas, and bare faces. No aesthetic, just love. I had been wanting to this “Forever Hug” for a while now and I finally decided to do it before I’d be wishing I took the time to slow down and do it. TikTok said Alicia Keys wrote this song for her grandmother, which made it hit that much harder. This is just a glimpse captures our personalities and dynamics perfectly. We, the women are clearly sharing a moment.. and there goes my Papa in the other room getting frustrated that Siri can’t understand him (which is a regular occurrence) and then in true Juicy Fruit fashion, cutting up at the very end (again, per usual!) Shh don’t tell her I posted it, she’ll deny it 🤣 Don’t get me wrong we are that family! Hugs, red lipstick stains on every cheek, and enough “I love you’s” to go around that no one should ever lack! But— when was the last time you hugged someone you love intentionally to non-verbally communicate that to them? For a moment it felt like time stood still and the tears fell down with no words being said! You can observe the love in the form of energy transferred through physical touch as the mood started to shift and the hugs lasted a while longer, and got a bit tighter. It was truly beautiful to experience, and having the moment to watch over and over again. I may not have all four, but I’m so grateful God gave me a good pair, I struck gold ♥️

#She’sSalvageCutieOfTheWeek Every outfit featured is off the rack of She’s Salvage Thrift courtesy of @ojrandall 💕 Everything is 1 of 1. Same place same time every week 💕 I love Omeka and She’s Salvage because it’s more than clothes, because it’s a whole movement, an experience even! If you’ve ever attended an in-person event you can vouch that Omeka is the same exact person online and in person, everytime! You never know what you’re gonna get in the closet, but we log on every week knowing it will be a time! There is guaranteed to be love shared, praise, dancing, and don’t forget these good clothes on her rack! My favorite memory was when we brought a taste of She’s Salvage to my alma mater, Prairie View A&M University! My organization, The Belles, whose motto is “poised and polished” hosted an event, “Empowering Your Silhouette.” Immediately once the idea was pitched I knew who the perfect speaker would be, Omeka came, delivered, and did the amazing job I knew she would! She was the keynote speaker, giving the ladies of our campus the tea about dressing appropriately for the occasion, using the correct undergarments and how they should fit, and of course pouring in some self love to everyone in the room. There was a moment after where we even went off script and she shared with us some of her testimony and how She’s Salvage came to be!
