This is a love letter to the juke joints , the small bars where blue collar communities would shake the devil off , sip a lil something, pass information, and start some shit while looking good / smelling good doing it.
Now a dying breed , “ Hole - in -the -walls” were the places my parents would party , my dad would spin, my mama would collect the $5 door fee, some of the best catfish , and a groove.
They didn’t know it but places like these were living museums of culture 🖤.
