One of the greatest movements ever in music history started in a place called motor city. A place that arguably created some of the greatest artists of all time. It was often referenced to as the Utopia for the legends that birthed the music industry that we know today. A place that so rich with history that even to this day weā€™ve never seen nothing like it. Thatā€™s Detroit, home of Motown! Arguably the greatest movement ever in music history. Now why is this important? Well for the past few decades Detroit has been making a statement in the music industry. That their sound is a force to be reckoned with! From the Eminemā€™s to the Big Seanā€™s of the world there is a new generation of stars who are making Detroit the place to be. Starting off with @peezy__te a legend in the streets with a record called 2 million up that got the city on fire!! In his new record he says a line that instantly shows you what heā€™s about and it goes like this ā€œTeach you how to turn a half to a whole one, Iā€™m a tutor. When we started this brand 9 years ago we couldnā€™t imagine that it would take us this far. We started this brand in a 200sqft space with the vision of creating an incubator that would service creatives all around the world. A brand that would create immense value that history would make it unforgettable. Kind of like the abbey roads of the world or the record plants or even the sunsets of the world. And this post here is one of those moments that defines us. It took a year to post this post because I wanted to take it all in!! To have two of arguably the greatest artist of all time in one room in one day left me speechless and I wanted to make sure the moment was right! The boy @champagnepapi and Pluto Hendrix @future all in one room! Arguably the greatest dynamic in the history of Hiphop! I often say that they have defined what it is two have two equal giants in one room! Kind of like Lebron and Michael on one team!! Every so often there is giants that comes to the music industry and shifts the culture! Impresarioā€™s who dictate the next sound or wave of the industry! They define to the T what an artist or producer is!! Those giants come around once in a life time! From athletes to doctors to musicians, Cubas rich and resilient history has propelled it to being an epicenter for talent! Make no mistake Cubas music history is rich! and you canā€™t mention Cubas history without mentioning the likes of @gloriaestefan or @buenavistasocialclubofficial !! A few months ago we had the honor to host a ground breaking session! It was the first of its kind!! A group of talented artists from all parts of Cuba under one roof creating a record for change and unity!! Each carving there party of history!!It was inspirational on so many levels!
