In 2024 I got the chance to style two brand projects for two of my friends, @jenaebell & @kiaraamajade. What started off as me making style boards for just shits and giggles slowly became something real and really important to me. Growing up on a small island like Dominica, I always thought being part of the creative world like this might be impossible. But these projects showed me otherwise and pushed me to start taking a career in the creative industry seriously. This is your sign to do what makes you happy. ✨ For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved art, drawing, creating, just making things. But I never really felt talented enough to pursue it seriously. Painting always scared me. Photography felt out of reach. I used to hold myself back out of fear that I wasn’t good enough. Last year, that started to change. I began doing creative projects with friends, just for fun. I joined @kubuliarts and met some incredibly supportive and inspiring artists. One friend encouraged me to try photography and some others really pushed me to start painting etc and slowly, with their love, support, and patience, I began to believe in myself. Now I’m here, sharing pieces of what I’ve been working on something I never thought I’d be brave enough to do. This is just the beginning, and I want to keep growing and exploring this path. So come with me on this journey. I’m not exactly sure where it’s going to lead, but I finally feel ready to find out and that’s enough for me right now. 🖤 Also, shoutout to @omtni for leading the sign concepts in this reel I was lucky to help bring some of them to life alongside @shanelleb.art , @tulips.on.fire , and @bell.artt. Always grateful to create with people who inspire me.
