What a blessing it is to be ALIVE. 🥰 Thank you God for another year. Thank you God for answered prayers. For the discipline, for the strength, for the pruning, for the convictions, for the teachings, and for all the love that surrounds me.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
I walk into this next year with absolute belief, faith, joy, and shalom shalom. 🤲🏿✨

That one person recording content when they should be listening lol. Audio from our wonderful tour guide at @ukutulalodge. I loved learning about how they care for the lions. No drugs, no chains, and no cages. Just free-range in nature.

Buoyant and aligned ✨
It’s still the first week of the new year, and there will be tests.
Former habits, cycles, thoughts, and temptations will creep back in to see whether I evolved in the ways I said I would.

Whether I’m fully committed to prioritizing the peace I said I deserve.
Whether I’m truly steadfast in my desires for mental, physical, and spiritual health.

There will be tests, but I have the •benefit• of experience and evidence regarding what works & what does not serve my greater good. And so, I will remain aligned. ✨

What a YEAR. I grew up reading scriptures about Jesus bringing people back to life, but I never grasped how literal that could be. Until this year. After 9 minutes and 14 seconds without a heartbeat, my mom is alive and thriving today; and fully functional! ✨✨ At any age, that is a miracle. At her age, it is TRULY unheard of. It does not feel authentic for me to gloss over how good God is. I must share this divine victory. Months in the ICU, months on the hospital floor, months in nursing rehab, and several more months recovering at home. Now she can dance and sing while on her birthday vacation. Can you believe that? I’ve watched miracle after miracle unfold on this journey, and I am forever changed. Nothing outside of my mom’s healing journey mattered more to me this year; this is my 2025 fr. Our parents truly become our children, and it’s an honor.

Especially if you are from a cultural background, the advice I would give is this: if you ever experience a loved one in this position, do everything in your power to be 100% present and informed at every single step. Make sure you are always one phone call away from someone in your network who has a strong medical background and can guide you through what is happening at every stage. Always stay aware about the medical assessments and plans. And remember that love, compassion, patience, presence, and prayer with BELIEF have healing mechanisms.

I’m so grateful for this testimony, and trust me, this is the watered-down version of how extreme this season truly was (the bulk of the details were intentionally omitted). Just know that God is so faithful, so merciful, and so GOOD. The power of faith and belief truly moves mountains. This huge faith test changed my life forever, and may God get allllll the glory. 🤲🏿 Thank you to all my prayer warriors.

Hug everyone you love. 🫶🏿✨
