100 Episodes.
On 23rd of July, The Morayo Show reached its 100th episode a milestone I am incredibly grateful to have been part of as an Editor

Looking back at a hundred TV edits, promos, highlights and short form cuts i have created since January, this remains one of my personal favourites.

Not because it was the most technically complex, but because it reminded me that editing is more than putting shots together it’s about understanding the vision and preserving the emotion behind every frame.

Telling the story of the Indian community in Nigeria while celebrating the opportunities, culture and beauty that Nigeria offers was a privilege. Being able to translate that feeling into the final edit is what made this project so special to me.

Here is to 100 episodes, the amazing team behind them, and many more stories waiting to be told.

Dialogue editing is king: in a world driven by AI and shrinking attention spans, human connection will always matter most.

I was tasked with editing the promotional trailer for The Morayo Show now airing on Africa Magic Family, the vision was simple: spread joy across Nigeria and to Nigerians in the diaspora.

The challenge was Turning 93 episodes across two seasons into a story that could be felt in 60 seconds.

I believe stories deserve to be experienced in their fullest form. That’s why, beyond the trailer, i am sharing the complete edit the heart behind the highlights.

Because great editing isn’t about cutting footage. It’s about making people feel.

Every cut has a purpose. Every character has a role. My job is figuring out where those moments belong.

Working on this BrownsCouch edit reminded me that storytelling often happens long before the final cut.

I chose to let the newest guest lead the conversation, using her perspective as the audience’s entry point into the story.

Having an unfamiliar face open with a strong statement immediately creates curiosity and gives viewers a reason to stay. Built tension through reactions, introduced moments of disorder, and guided the conversation toward a new sense of order through humor and perspective.

That’s one of the things I love most about editing not just assembling clips, but shaping how an audience experiences a story.
