So… Is this my coming out story? 🫪#bipolarsurvivor When I started learning Chinese, I gravitated to an idiom: 酸甜苦辣 (suān tián kǔ là) sour, sweet, bitter, spicy. It’s about the full range of life, not just the happy parts. In English, it translates into the ups and downs of life. Two years ago, I was hospitalized due to heavy metal toxicity poisoning. Did it cause my bipolar, or just exacerbate it? Chicken or the egg, I’ll never fully know. Come read the rest of my story about dyslexia, sleep deprivation, sisu/grit, PTSD from SA, EMDR (treatment for PTSD), and learning to hold all the 酸甜苦辣 parts of life.
