The last three months have been incredibly painful, filled with a lot of grief and hurt and loss from so many sides…and at the same time, I’ve been fortunate to grow and explore and live—to find pieces of myself I hadn’t realized I’d lost, thanks to the pain but also to the support and kindness and love from those around me. I’m grateful for it all—when it’s good and when it’s hard, such is life. And even in its darkest hours, I have to remember to look for the beauty.

October is #DomesticViolenceAwareness Month 🎥 In 2018, we interviewed seven incredible women about their experiences with relationship abuse. They wrote down their stories, swapped them, and shared them anonymously. These conversations help shed light on the warning signs of abuse, the challenges of breaking free from abusive cycles, where to find the strength and support to leave a bad situation, and the importance of having an open dialogue.

a week in review ☀️ weeks later. time’s weird.

.
- reunited with @kparvenski after 2 years and finally/properly celebrated earning our MA’s from the new school + being a part of a vibrant community fighting to make the world a better place via our ~art~/existence
- @samrush91 and i did some spiritual healing/adventuring/grounding in the desert + stared at the full moon for a while (& the new @daddy.long.limbs album was the perfect soundtrack for it)
- @mitamoi continues to be one of my best supporters and makes me feel like I’m the greatest person on earth even when I am crumbling (pia also tells me you and @woodenspacehelmet are her favorite babysitters so thanks for that too)
