Experience LARP (Live Action RolePlay): gaming beyond immersion LARP is an authentic in-person experience that engages all your senses. You won't just sit, read, and imagine (oh no!): here, your whole body is in the game. You'll actually sit at the table of a king of a remote land, wear armour, solve real-time riddles, and much more. Visit the LARP Village and join quests, fighting workshops, and adventures designed for the youngest knights-in-training too. Activities are in both Dutch and English, open to everyone. Line-up change: Due to personal reasons Luc Arbogast won't be present at Castlefest 2026. We're very sorry he can't be there and wish him all te best. Fortunately, we’ve found a great replacement for Castlefest on Saturday: The Swedish singer-songwriter @jonathanhulten has crafted a sound and aesthetic he describes as “Ethereal Dream-grunge”. He approaches music as a multidisciplinary art form, building a unique universe through handdrawn visual art and atmospheric live shows. We loved his performance at Castlefest 2023 and are glad to welcome him back to the Castlefest stage. Let yourself be transported into a dreamlike realm by his music (more info via link in bio)

MythWatch: roll the die and step into the age of Redbad What happens when game lovers ally with scientists and archaeologists? History becomes the setting, and the game becomes real. MythWatch is a cooperative role-playing game set in the world of the legendary Frisian king Redbad, brought to life as faithfully as possible to early medieval Frisia. In this interactive session, @mythemakers founders Gerda Roorda and Dirk Jorissen walk you through the game and then invite the whole audience to play. Vote on actions, roll a giant D6, and help shape a short adventure set in a world of tides, trade and old and new gods.
