Twelve months on from the release of Moakz's debut album, 'The Critical Path', Codename: RCRDS return to the release with a full LP of remixes with 'The Critical Path - Re-Baselined', drawing from a cross section of the scene's finest producers, bringing fresh interpretations of the original release's luxurious cinematic soundscapes. Featuring a winning combination of reworks from long-time Codename: collaborators and newcomers to the label, the release crosses boundaries of atmospheric drum & bass / jungle with a mix of elements targeted both for the head and dancefloor, and providing an exciting counterpoint to the original release. Out now on all platforms! Trident returns to Codename: RCRDS with a heavy EP of deep rave influenced rollers. Jungle warfare styled opener 'Alpha Bravo One' brings dark ominous tones alongside intricate drumwork, before the hardcore influenced crossover vibes of 'The Killer' drop, alternating between serene pads and squelchy acid drops, alongside Pennywise styled vocal refrains. 'Fire For Effect' lands heavy, channelling early Dillinja vibes to deliver a peak-time acid jungle dancefloor workout, before the infectious brass and intricate bell tones of 'Centurion' closes the release on a high. Woken Balance makes a long overdue and very welcome return to Codename: RCRDS with the simply stunning 'Astronauts EP'. The deep rolling vibes of 'Ancient Astronauts' open the release, before 'Tiberius' takes us in an almost autonomic direction during its intro, before sweeping cinematic soundscapes and haunting vocals take charge ahead of powerful drumwork. The release closes in epic style with Woken Balance's remix of a Codename favourite - NonRev's track 'Never Again', which brings layer upon layer of beauty to round things up with an epic combination of seductive keys, fluttering synths, rumbling bass and heads down rolling breaks.
