Photography Competition 2026

Submission Guidelines, Selection Criteria & Technical Specifications

1. Core Selection Criteria

This competition is not only about technical perfection or visually attractive photographs.

The primary and first priority for selection is CONTENT AND STORY.

Photographs with strong storytelling and conservation relevance may be selected even if they do not fully meet print level technical specifications.
However, publication will depend on technical suitability (conditions apply for printing and publishing).

First Priority Story & Conservation Value

Photographs will be evaluated mainly on:
• The story they tell
• Their ability to reflect the spirit of Keoladeo
• A clear conservation message, human nature relationship, or ecological insight
• Authenticity, observation, and intent behind the image

Second Priority Technical Quality

Once content and story qualify, photographs will be assessed for:
• Technical quality suitable for high quality print and publication

2. Publication Commitment & Responsibility

Selected photographs may be:
• Published in the official Keoladeo Coffee Table Book
• Featured on the official website and publications of the Rajasthan Forest Department

As these are permanent and high-value publications, strict technical and ethical standards apply.

Selection does not guarantee publication.
If a selected photograph does not meet required technical standards for print or publication, it may be excluded at the final stage.

Final selection and publication decisions rest solely with the Selection Committee.

3. Submission Deadline

Last date for submission:
10 February 2026

Late submissions will not be accepted.

4. Content & Caption Requirements (Mandatory)

Each photograph must include:
• Title of the Photograph
• Brief caption (25 to 50 words) explaining:
• Subject
• Context
• Conservation relevance
• Location (Keoladeo National Park or its immediate landscape)
• Date and year of capture

Incomplete submissions may be disqualified.

5. Technical Specifications .

For photographs intended for print and publication, the following standards are preferable :
