Spent the long Valentine’s weekend eating good, sipping the finest wines, visiting some furry friends, and staying in pure luxury in SoCal! ❤️🍽️🍷🦁 Here’s a recap of all the must-visit spots from my foodie adventure:

🍝 @bencotto – Handmade pasta and cozy vibes made for the perfect Italian dinner.
🍯 @callierestaurant – That honey chicken was next-level. Sweet, crispy, and absolutely delicious!

🥞 @greatmaple_hillcrest – Breakfast dreams came true here! Amazing breakfast hash and the mimosa flight was top tier.

🍳 @pancakelordssd – Breakfast here is an experience! From the super cute pink décor to unreal soufflé pancakes.
🍦 @saltandstraw – Now a new fave! Unique and seasonal flavors that hit the spot, perfect for after dinner.

🦁 @sdzsafaripark – Yal know I had to come visit my family!!! There was no way I was leaving the zoo with seeing them 🫶🏽

🍷 @bottaiawinery – Stunning vineyard views and an amazing wine tasting experience.
🍽️ @europavillage – Had the best lunch here—great food (the fettuccine and ceviche 🤌🏽), great wine, and even better ambiance!

🏨 The US Grant Hotel – Can’t leave out my fantastic stay at this historic luxury hotel! The elegance, service, and comfort were unmatched—truly the perfect home base for the weekend.

Black women work hard to find examples of self care and self love. 💚 When we discuss body positivity, most of the stories are geared towards melanin deficient people. Paul created a space where we could see other black women loving themselves so openly, so vulnerably, so beautifully. 🥰 We came together as a group of black women celebrating ourselves, our bodies and our sexualities, without it being seen as degrading.

“The intersection between 𝓈𝑜𝒻𝓉 and 𝖋𝖎𝖊𝖗𝖈𝖊.”

When I first heard that from K, I thought “that’s cute” but I didn’t truly understand it. Not until over two years later, and being pulled into this coach spot did it truly hit me.

As a female, we’re expected to be soft, gentle, but quiet and in the background. Let me tell you something : anyone on @shfitatl is FAR from quiet and in the background. That’s where the fierce comes in. We are not to be played with.

We #SetTheStandard and everyone else falls in line. This shoot wasn’t just for the holidays, but to pull out that soft side that women in the gym tend to tuck away and sometimes forget about as well. We work too damn hard to NOT show off these gains!!! The category was LEGS and no one disappointed!!!!!

To the team : thank you for trusting me as yal coach/step-mama/the mean one 🤭. Yal get on my nerves sometimes but I wouldn’t trade any of yal for the world. 🫶🏽 Take this week to rest cuz I’m already thinking about this quad workout for the New Year 🤣
To K : thank you for seeing the leader in me, pulling me even further out of my shell and forcing me to step up into what I’m called to do. I won’t let you down, and I know you wouldn’t let me anyway 🤟🏽
