Been a while since I’ve split a clip into 3 different color spaces: Raw S-Log 3, Rec.2100 PQ, and Rec.709 after corrections. Makes for good practice and learning about gamma profiles 🎥

A blockbuster DnB show went down at Trees last month, with the homie DEA locking in with the young don Skydisc, was also my first time shooting at this historic venue right in the heart of Deep Ellum 🔊

Green Elephant can be considered boot camp for low light shooters, but it’s where I shot my first show and is a great place to learn your camera settings. It also helps to have an understanding of color science and how you can dial in the look you want. That’s where old familiar (LOG) comes in handy as it captures enough metadata to flexibly edit videos 💻
As always, I’m open to feedback or just general advice!

Whipped up this reel as a throwback (now that the film is developed) to iii Points last month 🎞️ I occasionally visit my hometown but I hadn’t been to this festival in 4 years after attending regularly since 2017; was so good seeing friends and catching sets from a wide variety of artists, definitely got my sights on it next year 🪩

Forever grateful for the friends, family, and peers that support this venture of mine as I realize the work I do here aligns with my purpose. There’s still a mountains worth of knowledge and lessons to go thru but it’s part of the process and my foot is not stepping off the gas anytime soon 🔒
