This was too good not to post. I had just set up my camera when this rider came through, and I figured I’d film to test my angle. It’s for sure the toughest turn on the hill, and this shows just how off-camber it actually is.

After checking to see if he was ok, we chatted for a bit, and he was even kind enough to offer to hold the camera for some shots. I ran into him again yesterday and formally introduced myself.

This is Oren. He was lapping Hank and Frank, working on his jumping and cornering. It’s so awesome seeing people out there enjoying the trails and working on their skills. Huge respect to him — he crashes and keeps coming back for more.

I did it again!

Raced in the morning, drove 4 hours to get home, got ready and took my son to see his favorite artist perform.

The final race that @ca_enduro would host at @skichinapeak didn’t go to plan. Snapped a chain at the top of stage 3 and I lost so much time, I made the call to pack it in early. I knew it was going to be a long day since I had to get home, unpack, shower up and drive another hour to make it to the @guildtheatre to see @meggmusic perform.

Matteo has been obsessed with @meggmusic for the longest time and when we heard she would be playing in the Bay Area, we knew we had to take him. He was so frickin stoked! She did amazing. Such an epic stage presence and she put on a great show AND the icing on top was giving Matteo a shoutout mid set. YOU MADE HIS NIGHT!

The lows of racing was completely overshadowed by the joy of seeing my son having the time of his life.

Well, what was supposed to be a fun day @northstar_california turned out to be a bummer.

Rode my bike from my cabin in Tahoe city over to northstar to enjoy some bike park laps.

Met up with @deanlindsey15 at the top of zephyr and decided to take a warm up lap down livewire before going to buy my ticket…turns out, that was the only lap I would get for the day.

A little tire slash in what I thought was soft dirt ended up being a rock I didn’t see. Immediately felt the impact and knew it was harsh. Didn’t realize how bad it was until I got to the bottom and checked my wheel….cracked the rim.

That’s how it goes sometimes.

Borrowed the wife’s bike to rip the bike park with the kids. Was getting ready to leave but wanted to show Matteo and Luna a good skid. Turns out, Luna loved it and was demanding we do 10 more. The laugh at the end says it all.

@hotlapsmtb was just the best of times. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend camping and hanging with friends. @bendesnyder @w_mcclure05 @itsryanfrankel @_martyistheparty made the 14 hour trip worth it.

The riding is always phenomenal. Port gamble has such a rad scene with the trail system and the awesome jumps.

Stoked I was able to convince @ben.abellon to switch to pro e enduro. Was great to have a bud to ride with all day.

Hope I can do this one again next year!
