Grateful 🖤

It feels incredibly vulnerable to share this, but this is for the girl who never imagined she’d make it to the age she is now.

There was a time when imagining my life beyond 17 felt impossible. I couldn’t picture 18, let alone 25. The future felt like something that belonged to other people.

As someone who struggled with her mental health throughout her teenage years, I still held onto big dreams. I just never truly believed I’d get to live them.

I never imagined that one day I’d stand in places I only knew through postcards, films, and daydreams. I thought the world would always feel impossibly far away.

Yet here I am, living one of those dreams.

Life hasn’t magically become easy. There are still days or even phases that feel heavy. But I’m so grateful I stayed long enough to meet this version of myself. The version who gets to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle, and cries looking at it, walk along the Seine, go to the concert, study abroad, meet the loveliest people from around the world, speak so many languages and realise that younger me would never have believed this life was possible.

If you’re struggling to imagine a future, I hope this reminds you that your life can become something you can’t even picture yet.

Keep going. There are still places you’re meant to see, people you’re meant to love, and versions of yourself you haven’t had the chance to meet yet🖤
