Sometimes I really cant believe it.
I never expected this, when we started Floating You 5 years ago.

The community is not only growing, it deepened each time we meet in another location around the globe.

We witness each other surf, work through life, be on cloud 7, being out of our comfort zone and being a shoulder for each other to lean on.

Guests turn into friends 🤍
And as we share such deep, profound moments together, we’ll always be there for each other.

At least - this is my promise to you.

Surfing cracked me open in all the right ways.

At first, I was in love.
That first rush — this is the best thing ever!
But then it shifted.

I started getting frustrated.
The progress slowed. I talked down to myself.
I felt stuck. Doubting. I wasn’t “getting better”.

That’s when I met another shadow of mine in the water.
Surfing brought her out. And instead of pushing through, I had to soften.

Because you can’t force the ocean.
You can’t control the wave.
You have to feel. Listen. Trust.
You have to meet yourself — right where you are.

Surfing has been teaching me to let go.
To stop comparing. To stop gripping so tight.
To move with love, not pressure.

It’s not about performing.
It’s about presence.

That’s when the healing started.
Not in nailing the wave,
but in letting go of who I thought I had to be.

This is why we surf on retreat!!

Because the ocean teaches what the mind forgets 🩵

so my sweet amazing friend @scar_n_lee rang me around 4 weeks ago and said ‘can you come to Cornwall end of July to host the wellness tent together at @uksurfskateexpo ?’

The tent is 8 x 10 m long and it has a roof.. rest needs to be organized.

Produced a few backdrops, packed my instruments.. 15kg overweight as usual ✈️

And here we are, first time in newquay, Cornwall - maybe the prettiest place in England I’ve ever been.

I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to bring a bit of the @floatingyou spirit to this beautiful event @uksurfskateexpo

I can’t express how grateful I am to Monica, Chinese 1st female pro longboard surfer & her 2nd half Anton, for welcoming me, showing me around and allowing me to create some magic here with @floatingyou 🤍

We’re spending 10 days on a boat in the Maldives 🌊

It’s the first time we’ve had an adventure like this, partnering with the wonderful @noseridersurf and the one and only @lotussurfcamp 🤍

Being guided to some of the most amazing waves on the planet, immersing ourselves in yoga and sound healing.

Allowing yourself time to rest and reset, to reflect on how you are living your life and what the future holds.

It’s going to be the trip of dreams 🌊

I had the honour to assist my dear teacher & multi instrumental artist Shervin Boloorian in his Sound Healing Module 2 last week.

First, for those who are new here - I’m dedicated to the world of self discovery & healing.

Since about 4 years I have been trained to be a Sound Practitioner. It’s one of my deep callings. Sacred Sound & Frequencies have changed me personally, forever.

Rarely tho, I get to share about the elementary sound system we learn & follow as Shervin Boloorian’s Students.

It’s so profound and this is why I love that our retreats are in person. I have so much more time to share about this world of healing vibrations.

Over and over I see the power of these instruments and how they have supported each and every one of my guests in a different way.

Even if you never heard of it, you are sceptical or ‘not’ spiritual - you will feel it and come back after a sound journey and dont know what has happened and ‘where you have been’.

We are taking you on a journey through the elements of earth: earth, water, wood, fire, air & ether: and helping you to find / maintain ‘connection’.

Connection to the magnetic, energetic field that is constantly around us. You / us being part of a micro cosmos.

This work helps you to reset the nervous system, shuts of the mind and lets you be in a ‘normal’ state - that has long been forgotten. And this ‘state’ is being authentic, intra connectivity ✨

I’m so fully charged and cant wait to play my next sound healing - and who would have thought, that will be in Newquay at the @uksurfskateexpo 25th & 26th of July.

Why do so many Floating You guests return?

I think it’s because of how they feel when they spend a week with us. Floating You is not a big corporation, it’s an extension of my own healing journey, when I moved away from the music industry I spent a long time on a journey of reflection through different disciplines, what I learnt along the way was something that I wanted to share with as many people as I can, and the way I can do this most authentically is through our retreats.

There’s something magical about a group of people who start the week as strangers but end the week with such a special bond because of the journey they go on.

@sarahsays___ has joined us 3 times and this is some of her reflections on why she keeps coming back! It’s never something I take for granted being able to hold space for people to experience a different side to themselves. Sarah I can’t wait to keep welcoming you onto retreats for years to come 🤍

I would answer: ‘To constantly evolve and grow.’
So we can always return to Love.

Away from pain, suffering, envy & our false ego.

I’m still learning too & I improve the most on remote surf trips 💎

Uncrowded waves have sooo many advantages:

1. You can surf more waves
2. You have TIME, to learn to read the ocean
3. The REAL spirit of surfing comes across
4. It’s so much more safe! (Less crowd)
5. Trip is more authentic through more local encounters
6. Everything around you is untouched & beautiful
7. You grow into an independent surfer
8. You have time and space to learn about surf etiquette
