day three in @loirevalleywinesaus, and following a beautiful morning wine tasting exploring the phenomenal chenin blanc grape variety, we were treated to a drizzly tour through the spectacular @chateaudevillandry ⚜️

a medieval fortress on 15 hectares of land, 7 hectares of which being gardens, it demonstrates the loire flair for care, art + attention to detail 🌱

the château used to be surrounded by vines, used mainly for sparkling (crèmant de loire) production by the in-house vigneron, but has since been replaced by forest 🌳 i’m constantly learning so much about this historic region, and its adaptability to change to preserve its future . . . such as the sustainable gardening initiatives onsite 💚

the dessert that made me forget i was full 🙊

@tokinorthsydney is french technique meeting japanese flavour and the wasabi ice cream profiterole is the proof. choux pastry done properly, then a cold hit of wasabi cutting through sweet ice cream. shouldn’t work. absolutely works.

quietly one of my new favourite spots on the lower north shore 🌙

lua means fire in vietnamese, and from the second you walk into @luasydney, you feel exactly that.

chef @lukenguyencooks’s story is on every plate. vietnamese heritage, thai roots, an australian upbringing. all of it landing on a seafood menu cooked over open hearth and live charcoal. bold, elemental, theatrical.

@lordrobertshotel has earned its place in darlinghurst in the way only time can do. dark timber, warm light, a room that doesn’t need to try. we added truffle fries to share because obviously.

the posh pit ferry is genuinely one of the most fun 25 minutes in australia. private lounge, complimentary @moorillawinery wines, canapes, fur-lined walls and river views the whole way down the derwent. you pull up to the world’s most provocative museum feeling like you already won the day.

worth every cent of the upgrade. if you are going to MONA, do not take the standard ticket.
