Every parent has a toolbox… and in my opinion, the Children’s Museum is one of the best tools you can have! One thing I love is that there’s something for kids to explore in every building across the @museumofthesouthwest , so every visit feels like a new adventure. ✨ I did the math for my family, and we’d only have to visit 2½ times for the membership to pay for itself. After that, it’s unlimited visits for the rest of the year. If you’re anywhere in West Texas and within driving distance—even if you’re making a day trip—I’d seriously consider a membership. Between the exhibits spread across every building and unlimited visits all year, it’s one of the best investments you can make for family fun. Sign up online through the @museumofthesouthwest website⁠ or stop by the museum to get your membership set up!

New park alert! 🌾🤠 This barn-themed playground is such a fun spot. In my opinion, it’s best for older kids, but my little guys still had an absolute blast. There’s a huge open field to run around, swings, lots of shade trees, and the cutest barn-themed playground. Celebrating one year with the Go Texas Kids community today at @centennialparkmidland was everything I hoped it would be. 🤍 A year ago, I started this account with no idea where it would lead. I’m so grateful for every family, mom, and local business that’s been part of this journey. My heart has always been to connect local moms and help families discover all the amazing things the Permian Basin has to offer. ☀️ We’re still on for tomorrow, moms! The weather has cooled off (which honestly makes for a pretty perfect morning walk! 🤍). As of now, we’re planning to keep everything the same: ☕️ The first 10 moms will still get a FREE coffee from @twelvegate 🚶‍♀️ We’ll enjoy a stroller walk together @centennialparkmidland led by @solesisterswtx Since it won’t be quite as hot, I’ll also have some toys out for the kids to play with if they want to skip the splash pad! We’ll continue to monitor the forecast. If rain changes our plans, I’ll post any updates here on Go Texas Kids, so be sure to check back before heading out. West Texas parents, save this spot for your next escape to the mountains of Ruidoso, NM! ⛰️🍷 If you’re spending the day exploring downtown, make time for this stop. Great food, delicious wine, and the perfect atmosphere after a day of shopping the local boutiques. 🍷 Noisy Water Winery actually has two other locations worth checking out: • Their tasting room just across the street offers a more intimate vintage wine experience. • Their Alto location offers winery tours if you’re looking to make an afternoon of it. Save this for your next trip to Ruidoso—you’ll be glad you did! 🤍
