Work has recommenced on the FIFA Arena Project at St. John's Anglican School in Gouyave following slight delays. Construction has officially commenced on Phase 1 of the GFA Technical Centre, located in Seamoon, St. Andrew. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the Association’s commitment to advancing football infrastructure and providing world-class facilities for players and coaches across the nation. Phase 1 of the project is currently underway, with site development activities focused on foundational preparation. Technical teams are currently executing essential groundwork, including soil filling, lifting, and thorough compaction. Furthermore, the installation of a comprehensive drainage system is being prioritized to ensure the long-term integrity and sustainability of the grounds. Construction has begun on the first phase of the FIFA‑backed Arena Project at St. John’s Anglican School. The initiative will deliver a 22 m × 44 m mini artificial‑turf pitch, providing a world‑class training and competition surface for youth and community football. The groundbreaking “sod‑turning” ceremony took place on 7 April 2026, marked by representatives of the GFA, school officials, local government and FIFA development partners. The project is on schedule for completion by mid‑2026, at which point the new facility will be open for school and community programs.
