Happy SWEET 16th Birthday to my precious daughter, Kaylee! 🎂🥳🎉💜 It's your birthday... you are the birthday, and YOU are the gift! Today we celebrate not only the amazing young lady you've become, but also the incredible journey we've shared together. Ten years ago, Kaylee Cake Pops & More was born, and you have always been the heart and inspiration behind the brand. What started as a dream inspired by you has grown into something so much bigger. I thank God every single day for blessing me with such an amazing daughter and for every experience we've shared together, both the good and the challenging Watching you flourish into a beautiful and confident young lady has been one of the greatest joys of my life. As your mother, it hasn't been easy watching you grow up and slowly sharing you with the world. Jump scare… I left the studio a mess after a late night 😭 so I had to come in early to clean everything up and get it ready for my first client. She was turning 16 and I was in a creative mood, so I elevated her mini session with some fabric styling and honestly… it came out so cute. One quick posing trick I always use: whichever way you naturally turn your head for selfies is usually your favorite side 👀 Then we had a photographer come in for a Mother’s Day session and tbh I love being a PA. BTS, helping with lighting, posing, & making clients comfortable yk? Ended the day with one of my favorite kinds of sessions: surprise birthday setups. Since we have an event space upstairs, the photoshoot is usually the distraction while everybody gets the party ready above their heads 😭 she had NO idea. First, Happy Mothers Day 💐! Yesterday, I had the chance to photograph an incredible mother who is also a longtime friend. Monk, you are one of the realist, most resilient, hardworking, driven, loving, and caring mother I know. You work hard every day for your family and always aim to improve. I’ve watched you grow from a young woman to a grown woman and it’s truly beautiful. Capturing this moment feels even more special because I remember when Nunu was just in your belly.
