However, there’s always room for improvisation. I make sure to pack the playlist with way more tracks than I need so I can read the crowd, adapt to the energy of the night, and vary the styles, intensity, and tempo. Before the gig, I run through the playlist a few times behind the decks to get a feel for how the set will flow.
