Just hosted my 1st wearable art class for @houseofthesepinklips at @rickycodio @rickycodiofoundation @mqfactory

The kids got to come and see Ricks beautiful space plus some of my art installations. I wanted them to see people who looked like them creating endless possibilities with their craft from having their own huge studio space, Doing photoshops, Art Fashion, Paintings, Murals and more! After that they got to create their own unique wearable art piece!

So grateful that @rickycodio allowed me to use his space to host my classes. The kids were so excited to see the space and loved my work.

My goal for @houseofthesepinklips is to offer free art classes to children of all ages. To uplift,
inspire, and empower them to embrace their true selves and explore their identities artistically
through art

Big thank you to my husband and daughter for helping me set up this morning. I’m so grateful to have an amazing support system!

Still not over yesterday! I feel in love with running maybe a year ago. Never would of thought as someone who used to hate running would be crushing 10 miles!

One last long run before the #BroadStreetRun @ibxrun10 ! I’m so proud of myself and how far I’ve come with running! First time doing 9 miles, no breaks! I’m saving my first 10 miles for the race! Let’s go! Who’s running?

In honor of National Flower Day. My 1st mural “Blooming On Front Street” 2023 The blossoming flowers, symbolized a new beginning and the process of embracing my new self, highlighting achievements in my career, motherhood, and self-love. Words of affirmation in the background as a reminder, that if you’re going through tough times don’t be so hard on yourself. Allow yourself to grow! Give yourself flowers and grace during the good and hard times. so grateful for that opportunity!

You can view my number 1 sculpture I painted with my daughter at the @aampmuseum for Philadelphias @52firstsphilly with @muralarts “The First Abolitionist Society In America”

This piece honors the founding of the first Abolitionist Society in America and pays tribute to William Still, a remarkable Black abolitionist whose work with the Underground Railroad exemplified resilience and the enduring fight for freedom.

My number one sculpture for @motherbethel

FIRST AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CONGREGATION: 1794

As someone who grew up in the AME church (Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church), this theme spoke to me. It brought back childhood memories of going to church with my mom, sister, aunts and grandmom and great grandmom. It’s where I cherish memories with my family and celebrate with the community.”

the sculpture reflects generations of worship, resilience, and cultural pride, drawing from my own upbringing in the AME Church.

You can still visit the museum and see this ONE in person at Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, a living landmark at the heart of Philadelphia’s Black history. More than a sculpture, this piece is a tribute to a sacred space that has long served as a sanctuary of hope, unity, and strength.

This piece is a tribute to the first African Methodist Episcopal congregation and its founder, Richard Allen. I honor the AME Church as a vital cornerstone of community, pride and resilience. Drawing from my own upbringing in the AME Church, this work reflects cherished childhood memories of worship, family gatherings and celebration within the community.
