in 1871, bendigo began hosting an annual easter fair festival to raise money for the citizen-funded hospital and benevolent asylum. the tradition wouldve died in 1879 if not for the local chinese community, and they've been a huge part of the bendigo easter festival ever since.

Bloom After Dark . i headed to bendigo, vic, for their Bloom After Dark installation over the weekend and it's absolutely gorgeous. you can start at Oscar's Walk to see the permanent Djaara Lights, meander through the center of town to see the fresh tulips, and finish at the traditional gardens in Dai Gum San precinct. . @explorebendigo . music is "faded dream" from silvermansound.com
