I was in high school when I discovered drum & bass, and immediately was captivated by the futuristic sounds of many artists and djs that I still deeply appreciate and respect today. Gateway by Sinthetix came out during my senior year and it really touched me. Back then I put together this montage of my favorite anime as a visual backdrop to the song, very few people have ever seen this.

Everything that Josh Impulse had a hand in, across the Sinthetix and Corrupt Souls projects was really moving, in terms of energy, attitude and just something about it that I related to on a deep level. I was not a super close friend, but we talked on AIM a lot back in the day, traded samples and finally reconnected a few years back while starting up some collab projects.

Rest in peace @josh_raizdbywolvz thank you for everything man! ❤️
