I thank God for life, I thank God for health, I thank God for a complete family, I thank God for a job that keeps food on the table, I thank God for the ability to create, I thank God for every prophecy fulfilled in my life.

It’s been a rough year, not the way I expected it to be, hence it’s roughness. However, daily, I make a conscious effort to hardly complain about circumstances I can’t control, to being grateful for the days where I see God’s hand (literally everyday if you’re conscious enough to think).

God has been good to me, and I really look forward to H2 with all of me

A Day in my life as my best friend @christabeiie launches her 1st ever fashion house.
This has been home for the @_luxebybella team in the past 3 months, and it’s really mind blowing what God has done in and through them.

What’s more mind blowing is how this isn’t just a space, but a place where experiences and homes will be designed, and I cannot imagine the level of expansion about to happen. It will happen as God has said it.

Thank you to the amazing and ever present PL @lajuiren, who called and prayed over the LBB house, thank you so much Ma, we do not take your Labour of love for granted.

On that note, brides of 2026 and 2027, we have made more room and even a better experience for you, your Asoebi girls and any other thing you’d think of wearing. We get am🤭

With Love,
Nels❤️

My attempt at doing vlogs and I forgot half of the time, my hairstylist had to remind me😂😂😂

Anyways, if you’ve been around me long enough, you’ll know one of my vanity’s (probably the only one) is making my hair😂.

I may be going through it, but my hair must be made. I’m also what you call a style explorer, so Ruth (my hairstylist) and I have officially become besties because she’s always using my hair to create new statement pieces🤗🤭

I liked my hair, and so I said to show you guys the process.

Meanwhile who else is battling flu in this weather, I’m going through it😭

One of the ways I know that I’m learning something is writing it down. The first time I read this book, I didn’t write down.

So this is what I did so I could achieve my goal of finishing this book by the end of July as an adult with a stressful schedule🥹

📍Broke the chapters into weeks: There are 21 chapters in the book, and I knew my best bet was doing 3 chapters a week for 7 weeks, and so I did. However, I started and finished the first three chapters today.

📍Write down what I’ve learnt: I decided to write down in my notes while reading, so it makes me feel like I’m actually learning (yes, the only way I’ll be satisfied that it’s stuck is when I pick up a pen). Remember, I’m trying to get my reading spark back.

📍Post my reviews: My review is not to rate the book, who I be? My own review is to drop points across all chapters that resonated with me and I’ll be holding unto, and maybe someone can learn from it.

Done with this week’s chapters, feels good🎉🔥

I’ve been enjoying CapCut templates, you can tell🤭😂

Anyways, it’s a long overdue introduction, and while I’ll make it much more detailed later, here’s a little Get to know Me.

- My real name is Joynels. People tend to think it’s a nickname, however, it’s from my creative Dad who decided he had free will and added his name at the back of all our names. Makes it easy for me to stand out in rooms too, as my name becomes a point of conversation 🤭😂

- I’m a Child of God: Just incase we didn’t get the memo in the earlier posts, I am a child of God and I believe that Christ died, was buried and came back to save me. I believe that Jesus is the owner of my life, and I owe everything I ever am and will be to him. I’m finished like that.

I’m a Founder: Yes, I’ve been building @uxwritersafrica for 3 years now, however, last year was a very busy year for all of us in the team. Building can get overwhelming sometimes, especially with every other thing going on in your life. However, we choose not to give up yet, because our why is much more stronger now than ever before.

-I’m a content Designer: Content Design and UX Writing are pretty much the same thing to me. The global audience may disagree, but I have my reasons, and in the course of the year, I will be sharing what I know about the User Experience field as I continue to learn.

What else would you want to know about me?🤭 What should I know about you?🤭

I had a good time at home. It felt like love, it felt like a long hug that I anticipated all my life.

Seeing everyone in good health and happiness was the highlight of my travel.

Which of God’s blessings can we deny? Thank you God🥹

Yes, my career transitioned but I didn’t🤭 (I’m still very much a UX Writer).

Yesterday, one thing that stood out for me was the true definition of Disability. Our instructor gave us a short but simple definition:

Impairment + Barriers= Disability. This meant that if barriers were out of the way, then there won’t be a disabled person. I honestly never thought of it that way.

It was a very thought provoking class, especially for me as a UX Writer, since at the core of my work is to make digital interfaces seamless for all to use and accessible to everyone.

How are you challenging your norm at the workplace today?🤭

Better Challenge oh😂😂😂

For everytime you don’t live, you’re robbing yourself of the chance to not live fully.

Laugh out loud, pray louder, be good to people around you, and above all remember true living is in Christ🤭

With Love,
