In my bid to pass as a full Emirati in six months, here I am taking eating lessons in the desert from @uaeip

The joke was on Bu Hamed. I eat witj my hands all the time already.

It’s the quickest way to get food into my mouth and I’m all about efficiency.

Winter in Yorkshire.

Happy to be spending it with some non-human friends.

These three deer- one a younger one, keep popping up on my walks.

Watching them cover so much ground quickly is fascinating.

Watching them clear huge fences in a single leap is even better (the young one still isn’t as confident)

It’s always such a treat to see them, I remember the first one I saw in saddleworth and nobody believed me.

Now people see them there all the time. Me and the boys saw two on the moors the day.

They always make me happy.

I love how Nicole said she’s got engaged and then in minutes had a whole wedding planned out for her, including

Tent
Guests in Emirati traditional dress
A set up for the bride and groom
Dancing Rmirati men
A barbecue
A big screen
And a camel

Thing is, now I REALLY want this to happen, and it’s big Becky wedding.

Amazing night at Saudi Kitchen.

Out of all the places we are, this is the one I would take people back to, over and over. It’s the best experience and the goodies so good.

Honestly, still the most breathtaking view ever. Never gets old.

Dubai Marina from Damac Heights, Dubai.

1st time I saw that view I’d hyperlistened to @gunshipmusic on the Emirates flight, so that song was running through my brain. I still can’t separate the view and the song.. They’re perfect together.

I still can’t believe that me and @nicolerose_guymer pulled this off. Especially with her in hospital and us only being back in the UK for a week after doing the same in Dubai.

I wrote a paragraph to put students last night anout what I’d achieved in two years and then stopped and thought “Holy shit that’s so much.”

I guess I only see the days. Getting up, sitting in my gym gear. Plugging away on the laptop, frustrated that there’s never enough time in the day.

But then when you look at the years. It’s a lot.

Proud of us, kid.

One of the most famous Airbnbs in the world.

Bit of a death trap actually. I nearly went over the edge of the wings. Sheer cliff drop each side and all that holds you in is some fishing wire.

All for the perfect shot. I never even looked at them.

Behind the glitz, a lot of the time there’s nothing.
