One year ago, @nicgski hit send on the first issue of In the Trenches and accidentally created a biweekly emotional endurance sport for herself, her family, and everyone at Culture House 😂

Nicole shares about her writing process being a cycle of avoidance, snacks, anxiety, mountains of trash writing, one good sentence, more anxiety, and eventually pressing send at 10pm while contemplating if it’s the worst thing she’s ever written.

And yet… here we are. One year later. ❤️

We were all lucky enough to go see Huxley’s first movie in theaters with her. She did so amazing especially being only 2 and a half and was so engaged the entire time and loved it. I think we all watched her watching the movie more than we watched the movie itself. Mom captured all the best moments 🥹💜
