To end Women's Month on a high note, @logicocruz 's More is More (or Less) occupies and activates the lovely @_theohome ! With soundscape by @sunraokra 's highly intuitive and haunting Wah-Wah Ensemble!

With every space it encounters, More is More (or Less) discovers more extended dialogues on maximalism. Maximalism as more than just an aesthetic, but a personal, social, and cultural attitude and reality. What drives a person and their relationship with objects (material or otherwise)? Especially objects in their multitude, in their collectivity, in their abundance, in their sheer excess? More is More (or Less) is a performance that meditates on this relationship.

Deepest gratitude to @_theohome and @performance.ecologies for the collaboration and support!

Until the next activation!

"Magentaichi"
Ili-Likha Artists Wateringhole, Baguio City
29 June 2025

This premier iteration is an improv movement and sonic collaboration between Magenta and Carlo Villafuerte. "Magentaichi" examines the invention of rituals and how trance works as a survival mechanism, a way of fostering wholeness and inner bliss. Informed by Magenta's various dance practices and Villafuerte's electric guitar pedal experimentations, this duo presented a sonic-somatic language that they developed, exploring myth-making through the visceral. It challenges contemporary notions of performance-making, engaging the audience with abstract and kinesthetic ways of transmission.

The event was made possible by Performance Ecologies of Goethe-Institut Philippinen, Northern Luzon Pride, and Ili-Likha Artists' Wateringhole.
