Vintage cameras & golf - a perfect combo!

Shooting sport on old cameras at times has its limitations but when everything lines up it is simply timeless. We were lucky enough to have a few amazing days of weather so far, which resulted in some beautiful textured colours. It certainly makes my life easier when you have sun shinning, a classic links course and the best players in the game, all right in front of the you.

Really looking forward to these final few days of golf where the pressure is ramping up ⛳️

Testing Movement in Sport.

Too often, we as photographers place pressure on ourselves to capture “the moment” - to freeze a highlight in time. In this series, I question what the moment really means and explore how movement can better express the emotion of sport.

By embracing motion rather than fighting it, these images aim to show feeling, energy, and intensity - things that can’t always be contained in a single frozen frame.

I’m sure some of the old-school press purists might call these “blurred photos” or say I’ve used the “wrong shutter speed.” But how many times do we need to see the same images from the same sports, made in the same way?

When done thoughtfully and with intent, unconventional approaches are what push photography forward and allow the art to evolve.

So here they are - my wrong shutter speed, blurred photos.
