Grace Richard from Redemption Muay Thai made a solid FTC debut with an impressive performance against Zayin Cristin.

After a statement win, could she be next in line for a shot at our 125 lbs champion, Danielle Biehl? 👀

Quick vlog update from Calvin out here in BKK 🇹🇭

He reckons he’s not very good at interviews. We disagree.

After a training camp at FA Group in Bangkok, Calvin will soon be joining up with Team Canada for the IFMA World Championships in Malaysia.

He’s grateful for everyone who has supported the journey so far, but the mission isn’t finished yet.

All eyes on the prize. Gold is the goal. 🇨🇦🥇

Most adults don’t need another hobby. 🥋🇨🇦

They need a place to switch off, challenge themselves, and be around good people.

That’s what Mohammed found at Redemption over 3 years ago.

“This is where I come to relax and take my mind off things.”

And as he puts it:

“As iron sharpens iron.”

If you’ve been curious about Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai, send us a message. We’d love to hear your goals and help you get started. #oss

A lot of adults think they’re too busy to train.

Work. Kids. Life.

That’s why Leon loves the 7pm class. It fits around everything else and still gets him home at a reasonable time.

But when we asked what he likes most about Redemption, it wasn’t the schedule.

It was the people.

The community here is what keeps him coming back.

If you’ve been thinking about giving Muay Thai a try, maybe now’s the time. Check our pinned post for our best adults offer ever 🇨🇦👀

Most parents think confidence comes first.

Then their child will put their hand up in class, make friends, try new things, and become a leader.

In reality, confidence usually comes after.

Coach Calvin tells the story of Logan, who walked into Redemption Muay Thai two years ago as a shy, quiet kid who barely said a word. He kept showing up, kept training, and slowly started coming out of his shell.

Before long, he wasn’t just participating. He was leading.

“He started to gain a lot of confidence, and he started to become a leader for the other kids.”

That’s what we’re really proud of.

Not the medals. Not the fights.

Watching kids discover what they’re capable of when they’re surrounded by good coaches, positive role models, and a community that supports them.

If your child could benefit from more confidence, discipline, and positive friendships, our Kids Summer Camp launches right here in Bowmanville Ontario in the coming weeks.

Check out our pinned post for details.

You’d think a life coach and counselling professional would already have discipline and self-awareness figured out.

But even Vee still chose to put herself back in the beginner seat.

“I’m a really klutzy person… extremely uncoordinated.”

Most adults use that as a reason not to start.

She didn’t.

Now?

“Muay Thai is helping me be stronger, disciplined, and more agile.”

That’s what we love about Redemption.

Different people. Different backgrounds. Same willingness to grow.

If you’ve been thinking about starting, this is your sign.

A lot of gyms talk about safety…

Then throw brand new people into hard rounds on their first week.

“The fear of getting hurt is always a common question… and honestly, it makes sense.”

It’s a combat sport.

But good coaching should make people feel looked after, not thrown in the deep end.

“Our job as coaches is to make sure that safety is the number one priority at our facility.”

That’s why we keep classes controlled, pay attention to people properly, and make sure beginners aren’t just left figuring things out on their own.

“We try our best to make sure that in every class you have the right amount of attention… and you feel safe.”

Whether it’s your first class or your kid’s first class, that stuff matters.

We look forward to seeing you on the mats. 🇨🇦

What if confidence isn’t taught…

What if it’s earned?

Most teenagers today are being raised by screens, algorithms, and short attention spans.

Meanwhile Liam’s been training Muay Thai for 3–4 years surrounded by people pushing him to improve.

“My favourite thing about Muay Thai is everybody around me and supporting me.”

That’s the difference.

Not every young person needs to become a fighter.

But every young person needs direction, discipline, and good people around them.

“My favourite part training here is definitely everybody around me. They make sure everyone’s feeling good and everybody’s doing their job.”

That’s what a real community looks like.

Some people come here to compete.

Others just want to challenge themselves, meet good people, and become more confident.

Both belong here.
