📰🎵 EXTRA! EXTRA! Quarantine Project #8: Newsies has become one of my all time favorite shows! I saw the Broadway musical twice back in 2011 and my love continues to grow. Crutchie was always one of my favorite Newsies because he is such a pure soul and has a heart as big as the city. He didn’t have this song back in 2011, but a few years later, the national tour gained a new song for Crutchie. This song takes place at the beginning of Act 2. After the Newsboys first protests, Crutchie is badly injured and is taken to a refuge. He writes a letter to his best friend, his brother, Jack Kelly. He dreams to go to Santa Fe with Jack once he gets out of the refuge. Please enjoy this wonderful song written by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman from Disney’s Newsies. 🎶📰 Youtube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SaHW7Cvg3E

🍑🎵Quarantine Project #7: I've know about Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach my entire life. I actually read the book many many years ago in elementary school. I didn't remember much of the book but discovered that there was a musical in college. Pasek and Paul were the composers and lyricist for that show and I'm a huge fan of their work. It was only recently (during quarantine) that I watched the 1996 Disney film and that sparked my inspiration for this next quarantine project. Please enjoy as James confides in a grasshopper and a ladybug the struggles of life with his two crazy aunts. 🐞🕷 Youtube Link: https://youtu.be/Kt6Lb4eBo2k

🎶 Quarantine Project #6: As some of you may know, I went to college for Vocal Performance. My life has always been surrounded by Musical Theatre, but a major part of my music career was studying classical music. It's been a few years since I've sung classical music, but this song jumped back into my life again recently. Hugo Wolf was one of my favorite composers that I studied in college. I was lucky enough to sing four songs from his Mörike-Lieder. Verborgenheit will always remain one of my favorites to sing. Please enjoy one of my favorite songs by Hugo Wolf. (Best listened with headphones). 🎵

🔔 Quarantine Project #5: For this little project, we head back to Notre Dame and revisit Quasimodo in his bell tower. Disney's Hunchback just really speaks to me with the story and especially the music. The score from the film and musical is just so beautifully written. This song is no exception. Please enjoy 'Heaven's Light' ⛅️ Youtube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9sZfUCTE1w&feature=youtu.be

💚 Quarantine Project #4: Unlimited... My Future is Unlimited! Story time! My very last semester in college, I was given an opportunity, along with many other voice students to perform any song from any genre. It was mostly a musical theatre heavy recital as most students at my school never really had the opportunity to perform musical theatre songs. While most decided to go with songs and roles that might fit them if they were to ever be cast in those shows, I decided to go a different route and completely genderbend in a role I knew I would never play. Thus, performing "The Wizard and I" from Wicked. Granted this was back in 2017 (the year I graduated), I have always loved this song and show. Nearly 4 years later, here I am reunited with my favorite green witch and singing one of my favorite songs again! I hope you all enjoy my take on this very popular song. 💚

🌳 Quarantine Project #3: Here is another fun little project I've work on. The Kite is one of my favorite fast pace musical theatre songs. I've always loved the Peanut comics and the specials released to television. The Broadway musical is no exception. Join Charlie Brown as he tries his luck to fly a kite on a very windy day. Will he fly his kite? Take a listen and find out! 🌳😅 Youtube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VDhdFkegs8&feature=youtu.be
