Every day at work, I champion stepping out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself to help people maximise their potential and get the most out of their training. So today, I thought I’d do the same and have a little fun in the wonderful @lucyjaneadcock class when she came in to teach the students!

To all my fellow teachers out there… I know you’ll probably understand why I had the fear to do this on so many levels. But to hell with the worry — it’s dance, it’s movement, and I had a wonderful time.

No apologies, just acceptance and gratitude for what I can do when I wear a very different hat these days.

Sam will be bringing all the energy, fun, and just a little bit of dancing side of stage!

Sam trained in Musical Theatre at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts in Surrey and his extensive career has taken him on an exciting journey, performing all over the world. His diverse career spanned over two decades, working as a professional singer, dancer, actor, choreographer, dance captain and assistant, involved in Number 1 International and UK Tours such as “We Will Rock You”, Opera, Cruise Ships, Music Videos, Adverts and Television & Film. Sam is devoted to helping the next generation of performers accomplish their dreams and is humbled to play a small role in their exciting journey.

Earlier this week we were talking about the importance of being able to laugh at yourself and how powerful it can be in giving yourself the space, freedom, and safety to make mistakes. …..Cue one of my second-years giving me some uncannily accurate impressions of what I’m like in the studio when I’m tripping over my words or getting things wrong. 😂

We all had a really good laugh, and it was so good to join in and to show them that it’s totally fine to be laughed at sometimes. …..it’s healthy to not take yourself too seriously. Moments like these are some of my favourites in the studio. They remind me exactly what it’s all about.

Keep laughing, keep learning, and keep working.
