October, 1999. San Francisco, EMB (The Embarcadero). By this time, the nearby Hubba's Hideout was already notched up and unskateable. 🥲

I barely have video of myself from my skate days because I was always behind the camera documenting my brother @stephanmlee and the rest of RISK 650 skate crew 😂 we called ourselves.

This is how @gendesu and I got into filmmaking and photography. We used to use our skates for dolly shots in school and people would always ask us how we did it.

🙏To BFF @jludan for this rare footage from the $2500 Canon GL1 camcorder I worked all summer to buy.

Anything but running. 💀

Single leg knee drive jumps to switch knee for power/mobility/power and hip health.

Helps a lot with kicking power.

Mom says I should play outside more. 😂

As kids, there was nothing to do but play outside for hours. Too old to do tricks now, but it's still fun cruising for speed and bombing the hill.

(Yes I know my shifter is on the "wrong" side, but it's a pain to switch back and forth).

Just not as agile as before. 🥲

Use to hate that my dad insisted on recording us, but now he can barely remmeber. "You will appreciate it one day" he would say. 😭

🐊 style

@bovysorudomson "use your legs like crocodile tail!"

"Crocodiles (and alligators) use their tails to whip, primarily as a powerful defensive mechanism or for hunting, acting as a versatile, highly muscular tool.
Crocodiles can whip their tails with extreme force to defend themselves or strike threats. This action is described as being able to break a person's leg or knock them off their feet."

Still here 2x a week.
