If a brand wants to lock you out of working with their competitors, you should be ABSOLUTELY be charging for it. Most creators don't understand that your exclusivity window has a dollar value. This one still gets me every time! A creator took a $5K brand deal and ended up having to turn down $18K in other offers because of the exclusivity clause buried in her contract. She was locked out of working with any other skincare or beauty brand for an entire year - and in that time, three separate deals came her way (totalling $18K) that she couldn't touch. 🚨 Before you sign your next deal, figure out what you're actually giving up in exchange for that rate.
