Easily one of the greatest moments of my life. Willie’s 90th at The Hollywood Bowl, April 2023. The young lady crying her eyes out while laughing hysterically was the general feeling in the crowd. They sang Pancho and Lefty after this. Cried like a baby.

He was a registered nurse who worked for the VA but the point of this post is that that is irrelevant to his inherent value ** When we start attributing to human beings more than their inherent value (which he did have, he had value in and of his existence) then we start to create distinctions between who deserves to die, and who doesn’t. No one in this fight deserves to die or has any more or less value, except for the fascists themselves. ICE are the terrorists. No matter what story we tell, they will try to tell the opposite. So don’t tell a narrative about him, fight for him, and all the others.
