I’m thrilled to invite you to the premiere of my new work, Migrations, on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 7 PM at Los Angeles Grand Performances. This FREE performance is part of the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs’ COLA Individual Artist Fellowship program.

Migrations is a deeply personal exploration of identity, belonging, and the immigrant experience.

This week, I was fortunate enough to welcome Professor Aguibou Bougobali Sanou from Grinnell College in Iowa and Queen Aminata Sanou, a UNESCO Center for Peace Cross-Cultural Ambassador from Burkina Faso, to UCLA. Both are dancers, choreographers, and spiritual leaders. They blessed my UCLA WAC Dance West African/Mandé dance students with two incredible workshops. These workshops provided the students with embodied and cultural knowledge about Burkina Faso dances.

Something exciting is brewing.
