"Many Veterans are hesitant to move forward with pursuing a higher VA disability rating because they feel they don’t deserve one.” Jeremiah Jackson, USMC Veteran and part of the REE Medical team

Sound familiar?

Here’s something worth knowing: Every Veteran deserves an accurate rating, and that rating largely depends on the strength of medical evidence supporting the claim.

Until November 30, Veterans save $400 on our flat fee for coordinating independent medical evaluations and DBQs. Same flat fee structure as always: never a percentage of your back pay, and never tied to a VA decision. Terms apply.

The latest episode of Operation Onward is out! We meet @mikegracey.ifbbpro.

Mike is a former Air Defense Artilleryman and Combat Medic with the US Army, an @ifbb_pro_league bodybuilder, fitness and wellness coach, animal rescue ranch owner, restaurateur, and gym owner.

Mike runs @graceysrescueranch, a 501(c) nonprofit that rescues and cares for animals in need (especially@livestock) in partnership with Ep Paso Animal Services. It also supports veterans and wildlife education.

I call this photo of me “Ham”. I’m on the left.

Benefits of an arm day with a pro bodybuilder.

Mike also runs @shooffzfitness, connecting his communities to his love for fitness and wellness. He said I have good triceps. That’s a quote.

No big deal.

Mike ALSO runs his own restaurants, @fitfuelgrillelpaso. Fit Fuel Grill takes recipes you love and gives them a healthier twist.

We made waffles. They were awesome.

We sat down and talked about what it’s like to run this many businesses with a core around service.

Mike continues to give back to his community through service, and is the epitome of what it looks like to not leave everything you have to give in your hung up uniform.

After filming, Mike and team rescued over 100 animals in a big animal abuse case.

Watch the episode! It’s a fun one. by @reemedicalvets

A disability rating can mean more than a number on a letter. For many Veterans, it's what helps keep the whole household steady.

Your family may qualify for CHAMPVA health coverage, DEA education benefits through Chapter 35, and state benefits like property tax relief. Eligibility depends on your situation and your state, so check VA.gov or talk with an accredited VSO to see what applies to you.

If your conditions have gotten worse and your current rating doesn't reflect where your health is today, accurate medical evidence matters. REE Medical coordinates DBQ exams with independent, licensed medical providers to help you document it clearly. by @reemedicalvets

For a lot of Veterans, the question isn't whether to take the next step. It's when the timing makes sense.

That's where VetFlex comes in. Eligible Veterans can get started now and handle payment later, so cost timing doesn't have to be the reason you put off getting the medical evidence your claim may need.

Start with a free consultation, get a clear picture of your next step, and ask our team whether VetFlex is a fit for you.

Plenty of Veterans didn't stop serving when they left the uniform behind.

Today we're honoring the ones who carried it forward into fire departments, ambulances, and police work. by @reemedicalvets

I’ll allow it.

This is a myth that keeps too many Veterans from filing claims they may be entitled to.

Service connection covers more than combat. Let us connect you with an independent medical provider, who can accurately evaluate and document your conditions.

Sleep that never feels right, pain you have learned to work around—some symptoms can become part of everyday life after service.

If you have never filed a VA disability claim, we can help you understand the role medical evidence may play and connect you with independent providers who can determine whether a symptom may be related to your service.

Opening up and being a little more vulnerable about my VA experience and benefits. I used to feel guilty because “I’m so young” and receiving care used to make me feel weak. by @reemedicalvets

Night falls over the South Texas brush country, and Ronnie Adkins is out on a hog hunt with Jacob Tackett: nine years in the Army, career firefighter, and co-host of Man Vs. Morning.

The hunt is just the setting. The real conversation is about the people who show up, check in, and refuse to let you disappear when life gets quiet after service.
