DAMN where did the day go?? Not gonna lie. I spent most of the day listening to my sis Danielle Ponder’s sophomore album “Everything Has Changed” (including “Power” featuring ME) and marveling at how unequivocally dope this woman is and has always been in my book. I know sometimes we tend to put way too much stock in what “people” or the “industry” or “powers that be” say about our art but I swedagod folks better recognize that this type of thoughtful, intelligent, soulful and impactful songwriting and execution does not come along everyday. I am so incredibly proud of you @daniellepondermusic and honored to have my work featured. In your corner for life and ready for what’s next! 🌻💛✨✨ GO STREAM: EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED BY DANIELLE PONDER!!!! (And yes, I will upload some poems.) by @reenahgolden

To September with love…pt 1 💛
1 Last minute decisions are often my best
2 A sign…minus the weird pitch part…to shut down and take a solo trip
3 Easiest way out of the country
4 Lake Ontario in her shining glory
5 It’s not a birthday without sunflowers 9.12.26
6 Gained 3 new sisters on my bday and like me —they own the joint!
7 Took myself on a yoga date
8 Did my own make-up and took myself to see the Goddess —what ya think?
9 Ms Badu had something to say to me 🤭 (tell yall later)
10 Stopped for some whimsy on the way home
11 Got a call from a dear butterfly loving friend — another sign (I took her my flowers 🌻🌻)

Happy closing to the amazing cast and team of The Whoopi Monologues! ❤️

I had the pleasure of seeing this incredible production this past weekend, the night before closing, and I was moved in so many directions. What an extraordinary piece of art, history, and legacy. Whoopi created these monologues in the 1980s, and seeing them brought back to life today was truly special.

Each actor brought their own incredible comedic timing, individuality, honesty, and emotional depth to these stories. I laughed, I reflected, I felt and I left so grateful that I had the opportunity to experience this work.

A very special thank you to my friend Kecia Lewis-Evans, one of the stars of this production, who made it possible for us to see the show. Kecia, you absolutely blew me away. To witness this incredible season of abundance in your life is an honor. You are truly a force, and I love you so much my friend. Happy closing, my love! Enjoy the rest, and the NEXT. I love you always. ❤️

And a very, very special thank you to my friend Reenah Golden, who also helped make this experience possible. Thank you for being in my life. I look forward to many more moments of experiencing incredible art together!
Finally, thank you to the entire cast for spending time with us after the show especially after a TWO-SHOW DAY! Thank you for talking with us, taking pictures, signing autographs, and sharing a little more of yourselves after already giving so much onstage.
Happy closing, it was also great to see friends that I haven’t seen in a long time also supporting this incredible show!

The Whoopi Monologues! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 What a beautiful celebration of art, history, laughter, storytelling, and legacy. @therealkecialewis @karaakter @reenahgolden @whoopigoldberg by @reenahgolden

This wonderful cast poured their hearts and souls into the process to a standing room only crowd who enthusiastically devoured their brilliant performance on that stage! It was magical.
