we are doing a second installment of our SMASH HIT pub quiz!

come along for fun, japes, and the chance to win lots of fancy proofs of as-yet-unpublished books courtesy of our stunning bookseller and publisher comrades 😈

IMPORTANT NOTE: each ticket equals entry for a TEAM, not an individual! so make sure you have at least the semblance of a team when you buy a ticket (we can also help you source extra team members if needs be)

our latest reading!! celebrating writers including @annakeara, whose debut NERVE DAMAGE has been called ‘‘heady, harrowing and darkly funny’ by the NYT, @ihussainwriter and @beckacita, both reading their essays from the moving and powerful BREAD ALONE anthology (edited by @lordpasola), as well as talented writers @thao.nm and @_femmedetta ❤️‍🔥

much fun and literary hijinks had by all, thank you to the wonderful audience members who joined us, @thehorsehospital for hosting, and to @ebrubaogheneau for the mostly flattering photos. let us know if you spot yourself! 📸

Our last event was a May Day special- a day for celebrating workers fighting for their rights around the world. It was only fitting that we donate our ticket proceeds to a charity making a real difference in this field, and we chose @kalayaan_uk. They’re a London based charity providing support to migrant domestic workers in the UK. This mostly female workforce are particularly vulnerable to exploitation due to working within private homes and being reliant on their employer for their right to work and immigration status. According to their website, 73% of workers seeking support from Kalayaan do not have access to their passports and 70% have no day off. You can find out more about Kalayaans incredible work and support them yourself via their website. We’re so grateful to be able to support them in this small way and to support this often overlooked area of workers struggle. Remember, we have nothing to lose but our chains ⛓️‍💥❤️ by @reenchantmentldn

Back at it! 😎☀️

Join us on 24th July to hear from some incredible writers! We’re back at Horse Hospital this time - 7.30-10pm as usual - and pub after, of course.

Tickets are available in the link in bio! A note about ticketing - tickets are now subject to VAT, but we’ve kept prices the same because we want our events to be as accessible as possible! But this does mean we’re earning less from our events, so if you’d like to support our future projects you can buy a solidarity ticket! taken in The Horse Hospital by @reenchantmentldn
