Jazz Lounge Solo 2025 💜🎷
“Source” by Nubya Garcia

Before the new semester begins, I just want to say how grateful I am to have worked with two incredible artists, @trinityleitedance & musician @marcus_thedrummer . Thank you both for believing and me and for giving me an opportunity to share a solo about my growth as a dancer and as a human being. I resonate a lot with what Nubya Garcia has to say with this album, but when I first heard this song I knew I wanted to just dance and see where the music took me. This dance was a message to myself. Very blessed to have this opportunity.

Thanks a million, @salve_regina_dance 🫶🏻 Xoxo by @reenenemsdance

My latest piece “Sisterhood” that was presented in @salve_regina_dance REDUX showcase this past weekend.

“Sisterhood” is a duet built from the lived experiences of two of my closest friends. I was inspired by the strength, softness, duality, and power driven by these two Black women.

This work is about the complexity of being a Black woman in today’s world: the resilience, the self-knowledge, the worth, the fight, the grace, and the unshakeable power that comes from knowing who you are. It’s a love letter to womanhood, to feminism, and to the liberation that comes when we choose to live for ourselves.

I cannot thank you two enough. 🖤🐝💋 by @reenenemsdance
