There’s lots of new people here so I thought I’d reintroduce myself 😳👋💖

My name is Reesa (short for Theresa) and I am an artist, illustrator and designer of…well, whatever I feel like! 💁🏻‍♀️

I’m a Scorpio and I live in LA with my partner, two cats and a senior chiweenie named Lady Bruce. Right now I’m really into cooking at home, tending my garden (I’m growing tomato’s, strawberries, zucchinis and lots of herbs and flowers), swimming in lakes and rivers, thrifting, finding good coffee and trying not to succumb to the dread!

I am primarily a digital illustrator, but I also work in traditional mediums. My art is about finding your place in this big, magical (sometimes dark) universe, personal ownership and empowered expression of our own bodies. I hope that my work challenges restrictive assumptions about womanhood, femininity, beauty standards, and the body as inherently sexual.

I draw nudes a lot; because we are all in a different body and that’s very interesting! They’re how we get around in the world. They’re our home 🏠 And our bodies are worthy of love and respect and care unconditionally. I believe that everybody is created uniquely but equally and that EVERY body is deserving of safety, freedom, good food, clean water, healthcare, love and joy. Duh!

I am committed to using my limited power as an artist and small business owner to spread my agenda of softness, self-love, inclusivity, bodily autonomy and f*cking caring about other people.

Everything I design is size inclusive & that should be the norm!!

My whole life I’ve had nightmares where I have to shelter and try and save a small helpless animal in an impossible environment…

Now I see people living these nightmares every day. The oceans are boiling and rivers are flooding and forests are burning to the ground. It’s 95 before 9 am. And I’m grieving. For the people, animals and plants who call this earth home. by @reesabobeesa
