Only two more weeks until I walk across the stage and become a Clemson graduate. It is so bittersweet to see this chapter of my life come to a close, but I am excited for what is next 🩺. I am so grateful to have called Clemson home the past two years and for all the amazing friends and memories this place has given me! I am so so glad I chose Clemson and am proud to be a forever tiger! 🧡💜🐅

Following her incredible season in the circle for @ClemsonSoftball, Reese Basinger has been named the IPTAY Athlete of the Year!

Each year, the IPTAY Athlete of the Year award is presented to the Clemson student-athlete who excels on the field and in the classroom. Basinger was named the ACC Pitcher of the Year for 2025, the first Clemson pitcher to win that award. She won 18 games and posted a 2.94 ERA over her 44 appearances in earning first-team All-ACC and first-team All-Region honors.

15 years later the biggest chapter of my life comes to a close. To the sport of softball, thank you for bringing me my best friends and shaping me into the person I am today. I am so grateful for every time I got to step on that field and wish there was more time. It is so crazy to think my time as a softball player is up but I will forever be grateful for the memories and experiences that I gained from this sport.

This past season was something I could have never even dreamed of. 8 year old me would never believe it to know I played in a super regional and became an ACC champion. I hope I made her proud. I am so so grateful for Team 6 and all of the people that were apart of it. Thank you to Clemson and Winthrop for making my college career truly special I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Softball you were so good to me and you will be so missed. #1/7 out. by @reesebasinger
