the lucky ones!!

Freshman year, I rushed Chi Omega and found myself overwhelmed on bid day by a pledge class nearly ten times the size of my high school graduating class. I didn’t know then what was waiting for me or just how lucky I was about to become.

Somewhere between Friday night dinners at Marge’s, random concerts at George’s, long talks and laughter in ordinary afternoons around a lunch table, unfamiliar faces became the people who made this place feel like home.

PC ’23, more lovingly known as Jarty, taught me what sisterhood looks like when “adult” life begins.

They taught me strength and compassion, principle and grace, and the kind of love that keeps showing up. They taught me to hold tightly to the people I love, loosely to the things that aren’t all that serious, and to never overlook the joy tucked inside an ordinary day.

These women are ambitious, intelligent, kind, and incredibly funny. They are iron to iron: walking beside one another, carrying each other through all seasons, and making the good ones even better.

I once felt overwhelmed by how many of them there were. Now, I can only feel grateful that somehow, in a world so big, God led us to one another.

We found each other in this big world and I think that makes us the lucky ones.
