My first memory and inspo of tattooing is my uncle @jdcrowetattoos . He’s a great man and a true badass. He paid us a visit today to @fiveballhollywood and told us some tales of the past. It was special to have such inspirations of mine like Crowe , @eddydeutsche and @frankballjr all in one room 🔥 Thanks uncle Crowe! taken in Five Ball Tattoo Hollywood by @reesesalken

Thursday’s throwback barely had time to become the past. Back to the reel from earlier today, when there was still something left to finish.
Reese had clarity. Certainty. Plenty of both. Black and grey it is, right down to the last bit of work across his chest. Now it’s done and I get to step back, quit considering what else it could be, and appreciate the whole damn thing exactly as it stands.
He gets up and takes it with him. I love that part.

You live in the buzz, baby, the whole damn world humming under your feet, in the air you breathe, in the dirt under your nails, in the water, in the blood, in the bone, every bit of it shaking and singing its own low song, and nothing is dead, nothing is still, nothing is separate from the charge, call it attraction, call it gravity of the soul, call it the unseen hand pulling your life by the voltage you keep feeding it, and when you stop fighting the current and start reading your own weather, your gut, your fear, your joy, your rage, your peace, then you quit being dragged by the street and start steering the damn machine, making your life with your eyes open, one pulse at a time. -words from the man himself @eddydeutsche #fiveball #fiveballtattoo #ftw taken in Five Ball Tattoo Hollywood by @reesesalken
