COMMISSIONED
Acrylics & micron pens
10”x14”

This was challenging. Which makes the final product that much more rewarding! Speaking of — I am open for commissions! I have nothing to do and am saving up for a college laptop! I love having assignments to make people happy. I can do painting, highlighters/gels, colored pencils, whatever. :)

Wish we could have this as a dialogue option for most of his Act 1 cutscenes. He needs to hear it!

GIFT ; only posting since i never paint anything anymore, so im holding myself accountable for feeling a lack of any improvement. It’s hard to feel like I did my best work in high school…… but there is a whole life ahead of me.

Pros of this one: once i decided to exaggerate colors and shapes i got into a flow state for the trees that i had a lot of fun with.
Cons: I was rushing the entire piece, but again, a spontaneous gift, and i NEEEDEDD to exercise the muscle. I wanted to stay true to color and proportion ORIGINALLY.. but, realized quickly i needed to take a different angle… Just wish I could’ve committed to exaggeration beforehand.

REGARDLESS... I’m proud of myself for getting back into it with something difficult like this. I enjoy keeping my self-criticism public (a form of performance art); and I think everyone is capable of drawing and painting but you have to WANT to see the problems while still valuing what you did well. And everything I’ve ever done has had a lot of good and a lot of crap! And at least i can say there are things that I’ve done.

I brought my sketchbook to Minnesota too & was very happy to get out my colored pencils again. I only spent a day and a half or so up there but I had all the time in the world to sit in one spot and draw, which truthfully was worth the sixteen hours alone in the car.

However I did have two accidents while up there, one of the chipmunk bite variety and the other involving capris and the full concentrated power of the sun. The latter hurt so bad I had to sleep with ice on my feet for a week. But at least every day was a good hair day
