Tried the 1980s trend. 😄 by @reev.r
On 1st of May, Dhanya gave birth to our happiness pill - Duvvu This whole journey of pregnancy took us through all ups and downs: happy days and sad days - excitement and anxiousness - dreaming of parenting and lots of self doubt whether we will be good parents or not. All of this still feels like a good dream. One thing I can be sure of, is that without her being so strong and positive , we couldn’t have gone through this well. I still can’t believe - the way she has changed herself to become a mother. When I got her, she was just like a baby girl wanted to cherish every second she is living, wanting to help everyone, finding beauty in small things. Still the same but more mature - more giving - more responsible. I still can’t believe or nobody who knows her would believe that she gave birth to a child. So may be she is a super women. A pregnancy is a journey where it’s the women who sacrifices and gives the most. We men have less active effort than women apart from being there for them and supporting them. When I entered the OT: In the left I was looking at my 1 min old son and then on the right, I looked over and saw the raw wound that brought him to us. Watching the doctors carefully close up that deep space in her tummy made me realize the real depth of giving birth. I think I couldn’t have ever done that. It was a surreal, beautiful moment where the reality of her pain met the absolute joy of our new beginning. ❤️ This journey gave me picture of what my mother would have gone through to give birth to me. And what my father would have felt when I was born. Long journey ahead - Not very clear on how to sail. Hoping that I will navigate fine. by @reev.r
