Heres some gratuitous guitar pedal soldering eye candy. These 1960s Hughes germanium diodes, have super crusty leads, but with the help of some liquid solder flux they are light work. This batch of diodes were originally ordered by the Royal Navy for sonar production and then re packed in 1989 to go in service kits at the Copenacre Royal Navy Electronics stores. Now they're going into guitar overdrive pedals to make the glorious noises 🤘🤓

As far as designing fuzz pedals is concerned, the Z1 is probably my proudest achievement to date. Demos drop tomorrow and even I'm surprised how accurate this thing sounds. I can't stress enough how many rabbit holes and long nights it took to get this sounding like a germanium MK1, but those demos have validated all that work.
.
They're dropping in the next few days comment fuzz to get on the mailing list and not miss out 👍

The RedDotSound cometh ... no really ... i mean it this time 🤩
.
The red dot sound is my take on the iconic Solasound MK2 tonebender. This one uses silicon transistors and has an extended control set, for more variety of tones. Still keeping the rudeness and harmonic chaos of GE but in temperature stable Si 👌#fuzzpedal #effectspedals #guitarpedal taken in Reeves Electro Guitar Pedals by @reeveselectro
